Hi! I am Isabella Rhodes. I have Stargardt disease, a juvenile macular degeneration. Starting in the 1st grade, I always complained of being unable to see the board in school and having trouble doing everyday tasks. For three years, I saw multiple doctors, but no one could tell me what was wrong. In the 4th grade, I went to visit a retina specialist and was finally diagnosed with Stargardt disease. I immediately contacted The Foundation for Blind Children, seeking advice on navigating my new reality. Since then, I have found many different ways to thrive and enjoy life.

I am so grateful for everything the foundation has done for me. I have volunteered with the foundation on multiple occasions, from putting teams together for the Stride for Sight fun run to raise money for research into various eye conditions. This year I decided to give back to an organization that works so hard to better the lives of the visually impaired.

I love pickleball, and I am putting on this tournament to get family and friends together to have fun while raising money for a good cause.
